The Project Page

The Project Page is where all the work is done in JacobSix.  Every project has a project page.  It consists of five main tabs and four sections.  The five main tabs are:

Top Actions: Showing the top 25 actions in the project sorted by due date and then priority.  The actions list is filtered by the Milestone Filter, which is discussed more later.  The Top Actions listing is designed to show you what is due now and has the highest priority.  Forget about the rest.  These actions need to be done first.  You can always see all of the actions in the project by clicking the "All Open Actions" button at the bottom of this listing.

Recently Closed
:  This listing shows the most recently closed actions that are closed.  This list is sorted by the time the action was closed.  The list is designed to keep you informed of what work is finished.  You can see all closed actions by clicking the "All Closed Actions" button at the bottom of the listing.

Updates:  The updates listing shows you an audit of all changes that are being made in the project.  This list lets you know who made the change, when, and what the change was.  You can get an RSS feed of these changes so you can monitor the project using your favorite feed reader.  The updates are color coded so you can easily identify what type of change is made.  The updates feed can be refreshed manually using the refresh button at the top of the listing, or the system will automatically refresh every five minutes.

Recent Messages:  The recent messages listing provides the most recent messages posted by the team.  Messages are very simple and designed so that the team can post information relevant to the project to every other team member.  Messages posted to the project are emailed to every other team member.  The message body supports Markdown syntax so you can create simple markup within the message body.  Each message has a Subject and a Body, and also records the time of the message and the team member who posted the message.

More...:  The more tab provides additional configuration and options for the project and consists of the following sections:  Milestones, Groups, Links, Notes, Files, Team, and Management.  These sections are covered elsewhere.
