Profile Page

Your profile page is where you can edit information about yourself, change your email address, or link your Google, Open ID, Facebook or Twitter account.

Changing Details about Yourself

You can edit your full name and provide a description of yourself by clicking the "Edit Details" button.  The details dialog will appear and let you change your name, description and avatar.  Click Ok when you are done to save the changes.

Selecting an avatar image will override your Facebook, Twitter or Gravatar image if you chose these options when you signed up.  If you do not upload an image, then JacobSix will attempt to use your Facebook profile image if available or your Twitter image.  This depends on if you signed up or linked one of these providers to your JacobSix account.  If one of these is not available, then JacobSix will try to use Gravatar (http://www.gravatar.com) to find your image based on your email address.  If this is not found, a default image will be used.

Changing your Email

You can change your email address if you like by clicking the "change email" link.  Once you change your email address, you will have to re-verify in order to receive project updates.  An email will be sent to the new address after you update it.  If you do not receive the email, you can resend the verification email by clicking the link next to your new email address.  Once verified, you will receive project updates as you normally would.

Linking a Google Account

You can link your Google account to your JacobSix account by clicking the "Link to Google Account" link.  Linking your Google account allows you to access the IM bot for viewing your workbook, projects, top actions, and closed actions from a standard IM client, such as Google Talk.  Upcoming features will also allow you to quickly share a Google document, integrate your Google Calendar and Tasks, and even start a Google Wave.

Linking an OpenID, Facebook, or Twitter Account

You can link an OpenID, Facebook, or Twitter account to your JacobSix account.  If you signed up this way, your account will already be linked.  By doing this, you can streamline your login by clicking the "Login with OpenID" link instead.  In the future, linking in this way will provide additional functionality within JacobSix, such as sharing a project with Facebook friends or Twittering about a project if you like.

Changing your Password

You can change your password by clicking the "Change Password" button.  The password dialog will appear.  Enter the new password and then again to verify.  Click Ok to save.

If you originally signed in with OpenID, Facebook, or Twitter, you will need to set your JacobSix password in order to use it to access your account.  This is not necessary for the most part and you can typically continue to login with the provider you originally signed up with.
