JacobSix Charts

Charts provide many quick visuals into your projects.  There is a bar chart in your Dashboard, a Pie Chart in the Project Page, and many more in the Charts pages.  Below is a description of each chart:

Summary Charts

My Progress Bar Chart - This chart is found on your dashboard.  For each project, there are two bars.  The first bar shows you how many open actions are assigned to you in the project.  The bottom bar (blue) shows you how many actions were closed by you in the project.  For each project you are involved in, you will see the two bars.

Project Progress Pie Chart - This simply shows you how many Actions are open and how many are closed.  This pie chart is filtered by Milestone if one is selected.

Charts Page

The charts page has many more charts.  You can get to the charts page by clicking the "More Charts" button under the Project Progress Pie Chart  These charts are filtered by Milestone if one is selected.  The following is a description of each of the charts:

Open and Closed - Project - This chart is the same as found on the Project Page (Project Progress Pie Chart)

Open Actions per Team Member - Shows how many open actions are assigned to each team member in the project.

Team Progress - This bar chart shows how many open and closed actions are assigned to each team member.  It is similar to the My Progress Bar Chart, but shows per team member instead of per Project for one person.

Open Actions by Priority - This pie chart shows how many open actions there are by each priority level (Lowest to Highest).

Burndown Chart - The bottom chart is a burndown chart.  This shows you a line graph of the open hours left in the project over time.  You can see then the trend of the project and if the hours are reducing at a rate that suggests the project will complete on time.  A good chart is one that has the blue line at or under the red line.  The red line indicates the perfect hour reduction per day.  This chart utilizes the Milestone Start and End date if a milestone is selected, or the Project Start and Due date if no milestone is selected.  It is important that hours be entered in the Estimated field on each action and that hours are recorded in the actual field on each action.  Without this, the chart will not show anything.
